Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Below are some video clips that I took a look at in order to have a better understanding of how directors use these tasks, like the 180 degree rule, match on action, shot reverse shot and eyeline match.

Breaking or Keeping the 180 degree rule
I went on Youtube to watch some clips from the movies that broke the 180 degree rule and films that kept to this rule throughout. Whilst looking for some movies, I found this great video of how film makers use and break this basic rule. This was very helpful to me in order to understand this rule. It seems easy and simple to a lot of film makers that have been in this film making business for a long time but as it was our first experience in shooting a film, no wonder why we found it hard to stick to this rule.
At one point, they tell us why many producers decide to break the rule and this is done to show the mood shift or topic change.
In our final film, the 180 degree rule is broken when Olivia hears some strange noise of someone falling, thinking its Leila. This is a big mood change from the relaxed atmosphere to a more tense mood that something is going to happen.
Overall, the breaking of this rule can not be seen as a crucial problem for our film, but if I was to film another time, I would decide before filming, if I would keep to this rule or break it for it to portray a certain mood change.

The next video clips helped me get a full and clear understanding of all the tasks that had to be accomplished in both, the preliminary task and the final film.
