Match on Action is a technique used in order to show continuity of the action in the film. It shows the actions of the character but cuts in between the whole action. For example, the first shot could be of the girl opening the door from the outside of the room and the next shot would be of her entering the room. The camera is positioned from the inside of the room. So we see the whole action but in two shots instead of one whole one.

180 degree rule
The 180-degree rule is a simple guideline of the spatial relationship between a character and another character or object within a scene. An imaginary line, which is usually called the axis in the filming industry, is drawn in the middle of the action. It links the characters but keeps the camera on one side of the line, it cannot cross the line. So one of the characters would always be positioned right of the other character, who is positioned left of the first character.

Evaluation
180 degree rule (1)
After watching the video, I noticed that the 180 degree rule was broken when the girl was running towards the camera and then the next shot of her turning to her car. At this point, she had to turn right instead of turning left.
180 degree rule (2)
The continuity was also broken when the girl comes closer to the car and sees someone behind her. The shot is firstly opposite her with the villain on her right and when its the shot reverse shot, the villain is still on her right, when he had to be on her left.
Overall, I didn't achieve the one 180 degree rule but now that I have learnt how to use it, I can learn on my mistakes and further develop the skills of this rule in my 2 minute film.
What was achieved was match on action, eye line shot and all the shots from, extreme long shot to extreme close up.
It was a good opportunity for me, to try and understand how the camera works, how the shots are filmed and lastly, what I need in order to shoot a particular shot. This continuity task was like a test for the film, to know where you are strong at and where you are weak at, so that at the end, I know what to improve and follow.
